You guys, I'm so excited to finally introduce you all to our newest family member, Mac! Naming a pet is always such a big decision, right? We tossed around so many ideas, but when we landed on Mac, we just knew it was the one. And yes, for all my fellow IASIP fans out there, you guessed it – he's absolutely named after Ronald 'Mac' McDonald from 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'! The best part about it, honestly, is the inside joke potential. We've always loved the running gag in the show, especially when Mac underwent his... transformation into Fat Mac. You know the episodes I mean, right? The whole arc where he gains a significant amount of weight, and the gang just can't stop commenting on it, culminating in the iconic 'well, everybody...' reveal. It's comedy gold, and we thought, what better way to honor that hilarious absurdity than by naming our own furry friend Mac? It’s a playful nod to a character known for his dedication to mass, and it always makes us smile. Our Mac is a gorgeous large, brindle-colored dog, and he loves nothing more than lounging on his brown dog bed, often with his tongue slightly out in pure relaxation. He's got that chill vibe down perfectly. We even joke that if he ever truly embraces his inner glutton – or maybe just gets a little too comfy with his treats – we'll have to officially start calling him Fat Mac! Don't worry, we're definitely committed to keeping him healthy and active, and he gets plenty of playtime. But a little humorous prophecy, inspired by a beloved sitcom, never hurt anyone. It's just part of his charm and our shared love for the show. It's been so much fun watching him settle in. Every time he does something goofy, like trying to 'cultivate mass' with his food bowl or dramatically flopping onto the couch, we look at each other and say, 'That's so Mac!' It really adds a layer of fun to our daily lives. And thankfully, unlike some of the characters from Paddy's Pub (or maybe his fictional sister, if he had one, who might have a taste for construction materials), he's certainly not interested in eating drywall. His tastes are much more refined, mostly consisting of premium kibble and the occasional, well-deserved treat after a good walk!
