Hey everyone, it's Coxie here, and I'm absolutely stoked to finally share the details of my brand new PC build! For all my fellow Old School RuneScape players and aspiring streamers out there, you know how crucial a solid setup is, especially when you're grinding out those long sessions or trying to deliver a smooth, lag-free stream for the OSRS community. This isn't just any PC; this is my ultimate streaming and gaming machine, designed from the ground up to handle everything I throw at it, from multiple OSRS clients to demanding capture software. When I decided to upgrade, my main goal was to eliminate any potential bottlenecks for OSRS streaming. I wanted a system that could run several OSRS accounts simultaneously, keep my stream encoding silky smooth, and still have headroom for Discord, browser tabs, and all the other essentials. That's why I went with a robust foundation, starting with an AORUS X870E PRO motherboard. This board provides the stability and connectivity needed for a high-performance system, ensuring all my components work together seamlessly. Paired with a powerful 9900x processor, this rig chews through tasks, making sure my OSRS gameplay is never interrupted by background processes. Of course, a gaming and streaming PC lives and dies by its graphics card. I opted for a GIGABYTE GEFORCE RTX GPU. This card isn't just for pushing high frame rates in more graphically intensive games; it's also a powerhouse for video encoding, which is vital for maintaining stream quality without overtaxing the CPU. And speaking of keeping things cool under pressure, I made sure to invest in robust cooling. An AIO liquid cooler is at the heart of my thermal management, ensuring my CPU stays frosty even during extended streaming sessions. This is complemented by multiple Corsair case fans and additional Arctic fans strategically placed for optimal airflow. Multitasking is key for OSRS streamers, so plenty of RAM modules were a must-have. I can confidently run several OSRS clients, my streaming software, chat overlays, and browser tabs loaded with guides and resources without a hitch. The internal setup is also something I’m proud of; thanks to careful cable management, everything looks clean, and more importantly, airflow is unobstructed. And let's be honest, a little RGB lighting on the AIO cooler, RAM, and fans adds to the aesthetic appeal, making my setup look as good as it performs. Since completing this build, my OSRS experience has been incredible. No more dropped frames, no more lag spikes when I switch between clients, and my viewers get to enjoy a consistently high-quality stream. It’s truly a game-changer for someone who spends so much time in Gielinor.
