My recent sessions in War Thunder have been a rollercoaster of emotions, to say the least! I mentioned my 'worst luck' with Russian planes, and honestly, sometimes it feels like they just have the perfect angle on me, or I'm always outmaneuvered. It’s frustrating when you're trying your best to contribute and your victories per battle ratio seems to be stuck in a rut. When you're aiming to be a 'top victorious player,' these moments can really make you rethink your strategy. One specific vehicle I’ve been trying to master is the T26E1-1 at 6.7. This tank destroyer, with its powerful gun, can be a beast, but it also feels like a magnet for enemy fire if you're not perfectly positioned. Learning its nuances and finding those sweet spots where you can effectively engage without getting instantly vaporized is key. I've found that patience and understanding the flow of battle, especially against faster-moving targets like those nimble Russian fighters, makes a huge difference. Are you going hull-down? Protecting your flanks? Every decision impacts that vital victories per battle ratio. It's not just about getting kills, but about surviving, capturing points, and supporting your team. Sometimes, even a well-placed scout or a crucial assist can be more impactful than a solo rampage if it leads to a team win. Beyond War Thunder, my passion for tank warfare extends to World of Tanks as well. Recently, I've been diving deep into the World of Tanks German tech tree, and what an interesting journey it's been! The German line is known for its distinct characteristics: excellent gun accuracy and penetration, often coupled with formidable frontal armor on their heavy tanks, but sometimes at the cost of mobility. Starting with the early tiers, you get a feel for their precision. As you climb up, iconic tanks like the Tiger I and Tiger II really test your angling skills – if you angle them right, they can bounce shots all day, but expose your flat sides and you're in trouble. The heavy tank lines, leading to the E 100 or Maus, are all about methodical pushes and dominating choke points. They can be slow, making map awareness crucial, but their sheer HP and armor can be intimidating. Then there are the tank destroyer lines, which are a blast! The Grille 15 line, with its incredible camo and high alpha damage, offers a very different playstyle. Or the Jagdpanzer E 100, a behemoth with a massive gun that can one-shot many tanks. For medium tanks, the Leopard 1 line is a joy, focusing on speed and gun handling rather than armor. Each branch of the German tech tree offers unique challenges and rewards. Mastering them requires understanding their strengths and weaknesses, much like in War Thunder. It's all about finding the right balance for your playstyle to truly become a victorious player, whether you're battling in the skies of War Thunder or on the ground in World of Tanks. What are your tips for improving your ratio in War Thunder, or what's your favorite tank in the German tech tree?
