Studio cleaning pt. 1

Starting off this series with easy organizational tips! I have used several different types of bins and labels in the past to store my art items, and this method is by far my favorite! I especially love the list of everything in the bins being taped to the lid, that way you dont have to dig everything out to find out if something is in there or not 😂

* Also, if you want to go the more budget friendly / sustainable route, reuse cardbord boxes, like ones from amazon, for organizational bins instead of tossing them! They will still reduce the visible clutter in the room because they are not clear :)

Non-clear bins not only help reduce visible clutter but also allow for a cleaner aesthetic in your workspace. When it comes to labeling, using masking tape is a simple yet effective method. This allows for customization that can be adjusted at any time, unlike permanent labels. Incorporating a list of items inside the bin, taped to the lid, enhances accessibility. This way, you won't have to dig through everything to find specific supplies. Additionally, reusing cardboard boxes as storage options is an eco-friendly and cost-effective strategy that aligns with sustainable practices. These bins can be painted or covered to match your decor, making them functional as well as visually appealing. For artists, organization extends beyond just cleanliness; it creates a harmonious workspace that fosters creativity. As you explore different methods of organization, consider developing a personalized system that works best for you. Not only does a tidy environment boost your focus and efficiency, but it can also inspire new ideas and artistic projects.
