No more war!
I want to make it very clear that I believe there are a lot of good people in Iran who just want to be free and I want that for them. This is directly at their government and all governments that continue to think up wars and harm innocent people in the process.
I know things like this are never simple, but I’m just so beyond tired of living through historical events and I just want peace and boring times going forward.
Living through times of conflict often feels exhausting, especially when innocent people bear the brunt of decisions made by those far removed from the realities of war. Many, like myself, find inspiration in voices such as George McGovern's, who famously said, "I'm fed up to the ears with old men dreaming up wars for young men to die in." This powerful sentiment highlights the tragic cycle of war fueled by the ambitions of a few while disrupting countless lives. In reflecting on the situation in Iran, it's important to remember that the people who truly deserve attention and support are those yearning for freedom and peace, not the governments that perpetuate conflict. History teaches us that wars rarely lead to lasting solutions; instead, they leave behind trauma, broken families, and lost potential. From personal experience, seeking peace requires more than political declarations—it involves fostering understanding, empathy, and open dialogue among people. Supporting human rights, encouraging cultural exchanges, and amplifying the voices of those oppressed can contribute to meaningful change. These platforms serve as beacons of solidarity that remind us we’re not alone in our desire for boring, peaceful times free of conflict. Ultimately, while governments shape policies, it is collective human compassion that can overturn cycles of violence. By prioritizing dialogue over destruction and freedom over fear, we can help build a future where history's lessons guide us toward harmony rather than hostility.
