Update!! 📚 Long read 📚
Do you know the difference between Fat loss and Weight loss? 🤔
I’ve learned that the scale is not a reliable way to track your progress!
Weight loss using crash dieting and quick fixes isn’t sustainable for the long run. You lose fat, water, and muscle. Losing muscle can be detrimental, as muscle is an important component of your overall wellbeing. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. losing weight in the form of muscle can decrease the number of calories you burn at rest, making it easier to regain any weight you lost in the form of fat.
Fat loss refers to weight loss from fat. focusing on fat loss you will lose fat & build lean muscle making it harder to reverse and more sustainable.
I decided to take a picture of my progress almost every week from the very beginning of my fat loss journey and let me tell you… there are times that the scale doesn’t move or that it moves up! And without these progression pictures that I’ve been taking, I know, I would have been discouraged and may have even quit!
I was tired all the time, uncomfortable in my clothes and skin, and just all around felt unhealthy before. Since starting this journey, I have seen an increase in energy and stamina, loss of fat, 12lbs down, and most recently I’ve begun seeing more muscle tone & shape.
Here are just a few of the pics I have taken to show the progress I’m making from squishy & plush to lean & buff 💪🏼
If you are on a fat loss journey & working on your body composition, don’t let that scale tell you that you aren’t making progress!! throw the scale out the window and start taking pics and measurements of your progress! 📸 📏
If you’ve been thinking of starting this fat loss journey with me and would like recommendations on what’s been working for me let chat! My main mission is to help others never have to feel how I felt working so hard & doing all the things but seeing/feeling no progress.

Embarking on a weight loss journey can often be misleading if one solely relies on the scale. Many individuals struggle with temporary fixes that only lead to muscle loss and frustration. It's crucial to focus on fat loss, which promotes the development of lean muscle, enhancing both appearance and metabolism. Tracking body composition and energy levels is often a better indicator of progress than weight alone. Regular photos can help visualize changes that aren't always reflected in numbers, offering motivation to continue. Consider incorporating strength training, balanced nutrition, and realistic goal-setting into your routine. These elements will not only aid in achieving your desired body but will also contribute to overall well-being. Remember, different bodies respond uniquely to various approaches; therefore, listening to one's body is vital. Don't hesitate to reach out for support when navigating your journey, as community and shared experiences can provide encouragement and valuable insights.

So what did you do?
