Lenox spice village decorated for Christmas

... Read moreI absolutely adore my Lenox Spice Village! Every year, as the holiday season approaches, I get so excited to bring out these charming little houses and transform them into a festive Christmas wonderland. If you're wondering how to decorate your own Lenox Spice Village for Christmas, you've come to the right place! I'm thrilled to share some of my favorite ideas and personal touches that make my village truly sparkle during the holidays. One of my go-to tricks is using miniature LED fairy lights. These tiny lights can be strung around the base of the houses, tucked into little snow drifts, or even placed inside some of the larger pieces to create a warm, inviting glow. I love how they make the windows appear lit from within, giving each house a cozy, lived-in feel. Faux snow is another essential for me. A light dusting around the bases of the houses and on the 'roofs' instantly creates that classic winter wonderland look. You can find various types, from fluffy batting to fine glittery snow, to achieve different effects. Beyond lights and snow, tiny Christmas trees and miniature wreaths are perfect additions. I collect small bottle brush trees in various shades of green and white, scattering them throughout the village to create a miniature forest. A dab of hot glue (removable if you're careful!) or a tiny piece of floral wire can help secure miniature wreaths on the doors or windows of your Lenox village houses. Don't forget about little figurines! Small carolers, sledding children, or even tiny animals can bring so much life and narrative to your display. I often arrange them on little 'paths' between the houses or gathered around a central piece. What I love most about the Lenox Spice Village collection is its incredible vintage charm. These pieces, despite often being referred to generally as 'spice village houses' or a 'lenox spice rack' (though they're primarily decorative villages now!), evoke such a strong sense of nostalgia and intricate craftsmanship. When I'm setting up my display, I try to emphasize this vintage feel. I often place my village on a vintage-inspired tablecloth or runner, perhaps even adding some antique-looking ornaments or candles nearby. It's about creating an entire scene that transports you back to a simpler, more magical time. Consider where you're placing your village. A mantelpiece, a sideboard, or even a dedicated shelf can be perfect. I like to elevate some of the houses on small risers or books wrapped in festive paper to create varying heights, adding depth and visual interest to the overall display. This also helps when you're trying to highlight specific details of your vintage spice rack pieces. Remember to carefully clean your Lenox pieces before setting them out; a soft brush or cloth can remove dust without damaging the delicate details. And when the holidays are over, make sure to store them carefully in their original boxes or padded containers to keep them safe until next Christmas. Transforming my Lenox Spice Village into a Christmas tableau is one of my favorite holiday traditions. It's a wonderful way to express creativity and bring a unique, festive touch to my home. I hope these ideas inspire you to deck out your own Lenox Spice Village this season and create a truly enchanting display that captures the spirit of Christmas!

Can you tell us how you got the whole collection? Did you have to buy from a collector or did you thrift them individually? It’s my dream šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜
