SDV Switch Update - Everything you NEED to know!

The 1.6 (now 1.6.9) update for Stardew Valley is finally out for the Switch! The update was already released for PC a few month back, so i already have played some of the new update! But if you only have Stardew Valley on the Switch, then you finally can enjoy all the new things that has been added to the game as well! 🍂

Everything listed in the photos are just a few of the new things from the update, so i recommend you to check out the changelog online if you want to see what else has been added! But these are some of the more major updates i think and they are GREAT!

The much-anticipated Stardew Valley 1.6.9 update for Nintendo Switch has finally arrived! Players can now explore the new Meadowlands Farm layout, with its lush blue grass and plenty of space for animals. This update introduces fun seasonal festivals including the Desert Festival and mini fishing events like Trout Derby. In terms of customization, players will enjoy enhanced NPC dialogues that include unique gift reactions and dynamic interactions based on your gameplay choices. Additionally, new crops such as carrots, summer squash, and broccoli have been added, providing fresh opportunities for farming aficionados. A big highlight has to be the new big chest, which has double the storage space compared to the regular one, allowing for better organization of resources. Plus, there's a Bait Maker now available to craft fish-specific baits, enhancing your fishing experience. Increased interaction with pets has also been noted, with players now able to place hats on their cats and dogs. This update greatly enriches Stardew Valley's charm, making it an exciting time for players to dive back into the game.
