Hey. Hi. Yea, YOU!🙂↕️🫵🏽
Hey fellow creators! I've been getting a lot of questions about how I manage to get so many free samples and actually earn money through platforms like TikTok Shop. It's a journey, for sure, but totally doable once you get the hang of it. I wanted to share some of my insights, straight from my own experience, to help you navigate this exciting world. First off, getting approved for free samples is often about more than just having a huge follower count. From what I've seen in my messages, brands like Iridescenal or LASATE-BC look at your content creation skills and how polished your profile is. They want to see that you can actually produce engaging, high-quality videos or LIVEs. Sometimes, if your profile needs a little more work, they might suggest adding a product to your showcase first and generating sales. For example, with a popular item like the 'Grab The Mic' karaoke game, they might say something like, 'If you generate 3 or more sales with this, we'll send you a sample.' It's a great way to prove your influence and commitment. Once you get those samples, the real fun begins – and so does the work! I've had the chance to try out everything from trendy press-on nails and effective bikini trimmers to useful home gadgets like walking pads and even personal blenders. The key is to create shoppable content quickly. Most brands recommend posting within 14 days of receiving a sample to increase your chances of getting more. For short videos, make sure to link the product directly and keep the video public for at least 3 days. If you're doing a LIVE, pin the product and keep it in your shopping bag for 10+ minutes. These small steps make a huge difference in how brands perceive your reliability and performance. Let's talk monetization. Seeing my 'Est. commission' go up is always a thrill! The earnings per sale can vary, but even small amounts like '$3.45 per sale' for a popular item add up. Brands track your performance data, including GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) and product views, so consistency is key. Don't be discouraged by a 'request not approved' message – it happens to everyone. Just keep refining your content and profile. Sometimes, they might even send you a message like, 'You can message the seller again after 30 days, if they don't respond,' giving you another chance. Managing all the collab messages and communications can feel like a full-time job. I've learned to keep an eye on my 'Conab messages' and respond promptly. Whether it's from NovaSpark US offering a discount code or Lucky Egg US reviewing an interest, quick and professional communication builds good relationships. And remember, you can usually send up to 10 messages before a seller responds, so make your initial pitch count! Ultimately, building a successful creator presence on TikTok Shop and similar platforms is about quality content, consistent effort, and smart engagement. Focus on creating value for your audience, showcasing products authentically, and actively participating in the creator ecosystem. It’s a rewarding journey that allows you to explore amazing products and build a thriving online business!
