✨ If you Want Kids - This is My Only Advice! 🫶

I thought I was ready emotionally for kids. I wasn’t. I thought I had patience before kids. I didn’t! Your mind will grow with your kids, and your patience and energy will expand.

But the best thing you can do to prepare is get a good job, career or income (or at least have your partner do so) buy a decent car, buy a house, get out of debt. Get all of the large expenses in life settled, then you’re ready to have kids!

I have to admit this wasn’t exactly how I did it. But if I had to do it all over again, that is the one thing I’d change!

What is your piece of advice for people who want kids?

Experts suggest that couples consider establishing a stable income and managing significant expenses such as housing and transportation before having children. Building a solid financial foundation not only alleviates stress but also allows for a more fulfilling parenting experience. With rising costs associated with childcare, education, and basic living expenses, setting aside a designated savings fund can be beneficial. Experts recommend creating a budget that includes a monthly allocation towards baby-related costs, as well as emergencies. Additionally, consider looking into insurance options and benefits, like health insurance, that provide added support during the transition into parenthood. By engaging in effective financial planning, prospective parents can navigate challenges more efficiently, providing a secure environment for their future children. Above all, it’s crucial for couples to communicate openly about their financial situations, goals, and aspirations as they move towards this new chapter in life. Engaging in thorough discussions can lead to well-informed decisions, ensuring that both partners are on the same page. Ultimately, having kids is not just an emotional journey; it’s a practical endeavor that requires careful planning and preparation.
