Weekly Discovery Column (Discovery is a developmental disorder)
* This post was posted on X version, Instagram version, Lemon8 version, Threads version on July 26, 2023.developmental disorderThis is a remake of "Desu)" as the latest version.
As some of you may already know, I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (now Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)) at the age of three.
From here, the mainFault characteristicsI will introduce four.
◆ Hypersensitivity to hearing ◆
When I go out, I wear earphones or earplugs because I often hear voices other than the conversation partner (especially self-assertive remarks, remarks that blame the other party).
Also, the cocktail party effect is weak, and while having a conversation with someone, you may hear remarks other than the conversation partner (mainly remarks such as those in parentheses above) preferentially.
And men's statements are easier to hear than women's statements.
I often can't remember all of the instructions.
Because of this, I was forced to retire from the company I joined as a general worker after graduating from university in three months.
Also, "Sagami Ono DiscoveryThere are some event information that I have forgotten to post in the event table.
I am very sorry.
◆ strong commitment ◆
They have a strong interest in one part and often neglect other things.
In addition, in the activities of "Sagami Ono Discovery," we have established my rule that "X version, Instagram version, Threads version post one or more every day."
◆ Communication is difficult ◆
If the conversation becomes one-sided or there are more than two people to talk to, they often do not talk much.
And they're not good at understanding conversations that emphasize empathy.
Finally, among the disability characteristics described here, I want to write in detail, but there are some things that I can not write for physical and mental reasons, but if something makes me want to write, I will post it.
Also, today (July 26, 2026) is exactly 10 years since the "Sagamihara disabled facility killing case" occurred, and the defendant's statement that "disabled people only make misfortune" was quite hurt.
I didn't become disabled because I liked it.
# sagami _ onoEven in the surrounding area, there have been many events that bring happiness to people with disabilities.
This statement is unmistakable prejudice.
I strongly hope that disability discrimination will be completely eliminated from this world.
