Childhood before the internet n phones took over
I was born in '98 but cell phones didn't become common amongst my classmates until freshman and sophomore years, same as you, even though you've got 5 years on me.
My first cell phone was freshman year of high school, a flip phone. Internet/computer is mixed for me. I feel like more people had access to computer/internet than I did growing up. So while I feel like I personally didn't have constant and reliable access to computer and internet at home until I was 8th grade/freshman year, I feel like I was a little outside the norm for people in my more immediate age group.

When my siblings and I were all really young, (early 2000s), we used to always be outside. And two of our favorite things to do were making mud pies (not eating them obvi lol), and we also used to shove a can against the rear tire of our bikes so they would sound like dirt bikes when we rode them😂
