To Taboo Or Not To Taboo….
CHOKEHOLD
By Leigh Rivers & Harleigh Beck
I picked this book up because I really enjoyed Leigh Rivers “ The Web Of Silence Duet” & I wanted to give Harleigh Beck a second chance after reading “Sinster Leagcy” which my best friend is obsessed with, me not so much 🥴 ANYWAYS….
CHOKEHOLD has multiple #pov Cole is written by Leigh Rivers then Blaise & Jackson are written by Harleigh Beck. I genuinely enjoyed reading all of the characters. The cowrite was done beautifully! In some of the previous books I’ve read, the main male characters seemed to mirror each other so I would be like “Wait!! Who am I reading?” having to go back and check whose POV I was in. I did not have that issue reading Cole & Blaise.
Even though this is a #darkromance and #taboo
book, the emotions the characters went through on their journey just felt so honest to me. Chokehold will be reread 🖤
P.S I’m In Love With The Cover!!
To The Blurb…
ONE MOMENT. TWO MASKS.
THREE CHASES INTO THE NIGHT.
They’re supposed to be enemies.
It takes one fight with a masked man to change that all. They crave the next touch of the person they hate the most. Desperate for that next taste of the person they can’t stand: Waiting for that next anonymous text message to accelerate their heartbeats. The thrill of the chase with the forbidden fruit is enough to blur the lines and the world around them.
The first problem? They both have girlfriends.
The worst problem? They’re stepbrothers.
