Pansexuality typically describes attraction regardless of gender, seeing the person for who they are beyond their gender identity. Sexual fluidity, on the other hand, often implies a change or variation in one's sexual attraction over time. You might identify with one, both, or neither, and that's perfectly fine. Your label is yours to define. Now, let's talk about the unique experiences many of us face. For 'bisexual wives' or 'bi girls with their boyfriends,' the struggle for visibility and validation is real. I've heard so many stories, and even experienced it myself, where being in a heterosexual-presenting relationship leads to biphobia or erasure. People assume you’re straight, and you might feel pressured to constantly "come out" or justify your identity. It's a common misconception that if a bisexual woman is dating a man, she's no longer bisexual. Your identity doesn't disappear based on your partner's gender! It's about who you are attracted to, not just who you're currently with. Maintaining your integrity and ensuring your partner understands and respects your full identity is key. It's about finding that profound 'love meaning' that embraces all parts of you. This leads back to the original message: finding understanding and kindness. That starts with ourselves. Embracing our true selves means acknowledging our attractions fully, without shame or compromise. It means connecting with communities that celebrate us, whether online or in person. It means educating others patiently, but also knowing when to protect our own energy from those who refuse to understand. Ultimately, your journey as a bisexual woman is valid, beautiful, and uniquely yours.
