私自身、実家から東京の一人暮らしへと引っ越した経験から感じるのは、住む場所による生活コストの違いが車選びに与える影響の大きさです。例えば、実家暮らしの場合は駐車場代がかからず保険の等級引継ぎも可能なので、車の予算に余裕が生まれ、トヨタのハリアーGのような人気SUVも検討できます。一方で東京での一人暮らしは家賃や光熱費が高くなり、毎月の裁量所得が限られるため、維持費の低い軽EVやコンパクトカーを選ぶ傾向が強くなります。私も最初はN-BOXやヤリスHVといった車から検討を始めました。 また、東京では駐車場代が毎月3万円前後と非常に高額なため、駐車場代の安いエリアに住み替えを検討したり、カーシェアやサブスクを利用して所有コストを抑える選択肢も実際に利用してきました。こうした選択肢は「車を持つこと」自体に固執しない新しいカーライフの形として、生活の質を落とさずに出費を抑えられると感じています。 さらに、実家暮らしなら同居中の保険等級の引継ぎを計画的に行うことで、年間7万円以上の節約が可能なのは非常に大きいポイントです。私の周囲でも、独立前の等級引継ぎを計画した人は負担を軽減できていました。逆に一人暮らしでは、エネルギー効率の良い軽EV『サクラEV』の補助金が適用されるなど、公的支援も味方にして賢く選ぶことが大切です。 住居費を中心に生活の固定費を見直すことは、車選びの範囲を広げ、より自分にあった一台を見つけるために欠かせません。私は自分のライフスタイルや住環境の変化を常に見直し、その余白を活かして車の所有スタイルを変えてきました。この記事を参考に、実家暮らしでも一人暮らしでも、それぞれの環境に合わせた固定費のバランスを考えながら、後悔しない車選びに役立てていただければと思います。
