tsujiri premium tanjong pagar
satisfied my matcha craving AND had some really good desserts!
i really liked how there’s chunks of strawberry in the jam! I felt like the matcha taste was strong enough and yet the drink wasn’t too sweet. Def one if the nicer strawberry matchas i’ve tried!
🌸sakura foam strawberry matcha
on the other hand, this was quite underwhelming… the foam tasted like butter and somehow when everything was mixed in it tasted like a cookie?? did not have a strong matcha and strawberry flavour at all…so confusing and ex 😭
🧊kintoki kakigori
this was really refreshing and sweet! buried within the ice were two shiratama, sweetened red bean paste and pudding~ they also gave an additional cup of matcha to pour over the kakigori since the bottom was just ice HAHAH my friend and i decided not to add the condensed milk since it was already sweet enough
🌱matcha roll cake
the cake was SO SOFT AND FLUFFY! the cream inside wasn’t gelat at all! lowk idk if it was frozen or supposed to be ice cream filling but either ways it was still yum HAHAH
🍵ume no shiro and sencha green tea
both were unsweetened and came with a cute red bean snack. good if you want something to cleanse your palate~
🫧ambience
really chill japanese vibes and lots of seating available! (they also have a restroom) The first floor had a large variety of take home products in case you want to train your matcha skills at home HAHAH the price was on the expensive side but i think its a good try!
TSUJIRI Premium Tanjong Pagar(Bakery)
94 Tg Pagar Rd, Singapore 088515
If you're wondering about the Tsujiri Premium Tanjong Pagar menu and whether it's worth the price, here’s my personal experience to help decide. Beyond the drinks I tried, Tsujiri offers many other matcha-based items like soft serve and traditional sweets that match their premium quality. The matcha roll cake stood out for its softness, while the kintoki kakigori was a refreshing treat especially on warmer days. I also noticed the shop sells take-home matcha products on the first floor, which is great if you want to experiment with making your own matcha desserts. It's a nice touch for matcha enthusiasts wanting more than just café visits. One tip: some drinks like the sakura foam strawberry matcha may not hit the mark in matching strong matcha flavors, so I'd recommend sticking with the classics like the strawberry matcha for a balanced sweetness and authentic taste. Also, the added touches like the complimentary cup of matcha with the kakigori show attention to detail. For ambiance lovers, Tsujiri Premium shines with a tranquil Japanese vibe and ample seating, perfect for lingering over tea and desserts. It’s also conveniently located at 94 Tanjong Pagar Rd, making it a great stop during a cafe-hopping day in Singapore. Overall, if you cherish well-crafted matcha drinks and desserts with a modern twist, Tsujiri Tanjong Pagar is definitely worth a visit despite the slightly premium prices. It’s a fulfilling spot to satisfy your matcha cravings while enjoying a cozy environment.
