@Christine Mannella love you! you got this!!!! #surgery #breastreduction #mannellafamunfiltered @Frankie Mannella
It's been an emotional rollercoaster seeing my sister, Chrisser, prepare for her breast reduction surgery. When she first told us about her decision, there were so many mixed feelings – relief that she was finally addressing something that caused her discomfort, and natural anxiety about any major surgery. As a family, our main goal has been to provide her with all the love and practical support she needs to make this journey as smooth as possible. One of the biggest things I've learned is how important it is to just *listen*. Chrisser had a lot of questions and worries, from the details of the procedure to what recovery would truly feel like. We spent countless hours talking, researching reputable sources together, and just letting her vent. Knowing she wasn't alone in this really seemed to help ease her mind. Before the surgery, we helped her prepare her recovery space at home. Think comfortable pillows, easy-to-reach essentials, and a cozy spot where she could relax without having to strain. We also prepped some healthy, easy-to-eat meals, because cooking would definitely be out of the question for a while. These small practical steps felt huge in making her feel ready and cared for. The day of the surgery, which we've been calling "chrisser's reduction surgery," was a mix of nerves and hope. We were all sending prayers for her, knowing she was in good hands. Post-surgery, the focus shifted entirely to her comfort and healing. This means being there to help with medication schedules, gentle movements, and just being a calming presence. It’s not just about physical recovery; the emotional aspect is just as important. Some days she feels great, others she might feel a bit down or frustrated with the limitations. Offering encouragement and reminding her of the positive outcome she's worked towards is key. For anyone supporting a loved one through a similar experience, my biggest advice is to be patient, present, and proactive. Anticipate their needs, offer help before they ask, and most importantly, celebrate every small milestone in their recovery. Seeing Chrisser's strength and resilience through this entire process has been truly inspiring. We're all so proud of her, and we can’t wait to see her embrace this new chapter feeling more comfortable and confident.

🥰Prayers for a speedy recovery ❤️
