Summer Night Walks 👣💙🩷

✨👣New Activity or Evening Routine 🌃 we started in my house. Keep in mind I am NOT in shape!! I started utilizing walks as a way to help my daughter calm down. Brother only stays over half time so they have limited time together. ( I'll share more about my story regarding this) Although, usually arguing - the fresh air, night sounds, and no electronics really helps soothe the soul.

Took another one tonight with the other little brother. 💙 🩷

Do you walk regularly or something you swear by in your routine??

... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have been curious about my journey, especially as a SAHM trying to juggle everything, and I'm so excited to dive deeper into how our EVENING Walks became such a game-changer for my family. You know how life can get incredibly hectic, especially with little ones. My daughter was going through a phase where winding down in the evenings felt like a huge battle. We tried all the usual tricks, but nothing seemed to truly stick. That's when a simple thought popped into my head: "What if we just... walked?" Honestly, it wasn't about getting 'in shape' at first – believe me, I'm still working on that, haha! It was purely out of a desperate need to find a way to soothe her and bring some peace to our evenings. One of the biggest challenges, as many of you might relate to, is navigating sibling dynamics. My son, her little brother, only stays with us half the time, so their moments together are incredibly precious but can also be filled with typical sibling squabbles. I quickly realized these walks offered a unique opportunity for them to connect without the usual indoor distractions. Seeing them hold hands, just like in that sweet photo of Brother & Sister walking side-by-side down our street, truly melts my heart every single time. These are those quiet, unforced moments, away from screens and the busyness of the house, where they truly just are together, building memories. The real magic really happens once we step outside. There’s something incredibly calming about the fresh evening air, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the natural sounds of the night. It’s like hitting a reset button for everyone. I remember one evening, the sky was just breathtaking, painted in soft pinks and purples – truly, *The sky was pink*, and it felt like a little gift just for us, a moment of simple, unexpected beauty. These moments are so grounding, helping us all transition from the day's chaos to a more peaceful state. It’s not just for the kids; it’s become my own personal therapy too – a time to clear my head, reflect, and just breathe. For any SAHMs out there looking for a new routine or a simple way to bring more calm and connection into your home, I honestly can’t recommend our EVENING Walks enough. You don't need a grand plan or special gear. Start small, even just 15-20 minutes. We just put on our shoes and head out the door. We might talk about our day, point out stars, or sometimes we just walk in comfortable silence, soaking it all in. It’s amazing how much a simple change of scenery and rhythm can shift everyone's mood and bring us closer. It’s truly become the anchor of our evenings, helping us all find a little more peace and a lot more connection before bedtime. Give it a try, and let me know how your family's evening adventures go!
