TAMPA/ST.PETERSBURG

some of my favorite things i’ve done in the area are seeing concerts at Jannus live in St. Pete! I’ve seen Jessie Murph, Chelsea Cutler, and Action Bronson there all for around $50/ticket.

Another favorite would be seeing a football game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium as well as a hockey game at Amelia Arena, which is the Tampa Bay Lightning home stadium.

Always another great idea is Disney, I have only been to Epcot but it was magical and so worth it. I do recommend going in the fall when it is more cool outside. #lemon8diarychallenge

... Read moreAfter spending some incredible time in the Tampa and St. Petersburg area, I just had to share more of my favorite finds and must-do activities beyond the initial highlights. This region truly has something for everyone, whether you're a music fan, a sports enthusiast, or just looking for a magical getaway. Diving Deeper into Downtown St. Pete: A Vibrant Hub The energy in downtown St. Pete is absolutely contagious! While seeing a concert at Jannus Live (which, by the way, is an awesome outdoor venue as you can see from the digital billboard for Jessie Murph) is a fantastic experience, there's so much more to explore right in that same area. I loved wandering through the streets, discovering unique boutiques and art galleries. A personal favorite is the St. Pete Pier. It offers stunning views of the bay, has great dining options, and you can even rent bikes or just relax by the water. It’s perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll or catching a beautiful sunset. And if you're into art, the world-renowned Dalí Museum is a must-visit; it’s truly an awe-inspiring collection. A Taste of Tampa Bay: Dining Delights When it comes to food, Tampa and St. Pete truly shine. If you’re looking for an unforgettable culinary experience, I recently tried Lepley's Kitchen and Lounge, and it totally blew me away! The atmosphere was so chic yet welcoming, and their farm-to-table dishes were simply divine. It’s definitely a spot I'd recommend for a special night out or even a casual but elevated dinner with friends. Beyond that, I’ve found so many fantastic local eateries, from casual beachfront cafes offering fresh seafood to upscale downtown restaurants. Don't be afraid to explore the diverse culinary scene – you'll find everything from authentic Cuban sandwiches in Tampa to gourmet delights in St. Pete. Beyond the Stadiums: More Tampa Bay Adventures Cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium (that crowded stadium view from my photo really captures the energy!) or the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena (the bright blue ice rink is iconic!) is an electrifying experience. But the fun doesn't stop once the game ends. I always love the pre-game and post-game atmosphere around the stadiums, with local bars and restaurants buzzing with fans. For those who love the outdoors, the area boasts incredible beaches like St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach, perfect for soaking up the sun or trying water sports like paddleboarding. There are also numerous parks and nature preserves if you're looking for a peaceful escape or a scenic hike. Epcot Magic & Beyond: Theme Park Tips My trip to Epcot was, as I mentioned, truly magical, especially experiencing it in the fall when the weather is more pleasant. Walking through the World Showcase, trying different foods and drinks from around the globe, felt like a mini-world tour. The plant-covered sculpture of a woman in my photo really captures the unique artistic vibe there! My top tip is to plan your Epcot visit around one of their festivals, like the Food & Wine Festival or the Flower & Garden Festival, as they add an extra layer of charm and special experiences. And while Epcot is fantastic, remember that the wider Orlando area is just a short drive away if you're looking to extend your theme park adventures even further!
