steal my makeup bag hack
bc my 2 year old cannot see me with a makeup brush in my hand or it’s OVER. she wants the blush. she wants the lip gloss. she wants to “help.” and by help I mean destroy everything I just did and eat my beauty blender.
so I made a secret bag with just what I need to get a full glam in 10 minutes. she doesn’t even know it’s happening. I come out looking different and she just stares at me like 🧍♀️ ma’am??
no mom is getting ready alone. she’s RIGHT THERE. so the bag is small enough to throw in my purse and finish in the car. half my glam has been completed in parking lots and I have zero shame.
what’s in it:
@hudabeauty minis. concealer, color corrector, foundation, setting powder, mini puffs, and setting spray. full face in tiny packaging.
one depotted palette I made. sparkle shadow, neutral shadow, pinky blush, bronzer. the bronzer doubles as contour AND eyeshadow. three uses one pan.
@sephora collection brow gel.
@kvdbeauty mini Tattoo Liner for the wing.
@lillylashes self-adhesive lashes. no glue no mess. bc lash glue requires peace and quiet and I have neither.
travel size brushes only. full size brushes are for women who get ready in silence and that is not my life rn.
and if buying all new makeup is not looking like an option right now you can always depot what you already own. depotting tutorial coming soon 🤍
save this if your toddler is also your biggest hater when it comes to getting ready 😭
As a mom, I totally get how challenging it can be to find uninterrupted time for makeup—especially with toddlers who see your cosmetics as their new toys. That’s why having a dedicated, travel-size makeup bag filled with your essentials can be a total game-changer. From my experience, choosing mini versions of your favorite products like concealer, foundation, and setting spray not only saves space but also prevents accidental spills or breakage around your little one. Depotting products into one compact palette that multifunctions as eyeshadow, blush, and contour is incredibly efficient. I love using a bronzer that doubles as both contour and eyeshadow—it simplifies my routine without sacrificing the look. Another lifesaver is skipping traditional lash glue in favor of self-adhesive lashes, which eliminate the mess and stress. Travel-size brushes make quick application possible even in the car or parking lot, where sometimes you just have to grab time where you can get it! What I appreciate most about this hack is it allows me to maintain a polished appearance on my schedule, with my toddler by my side, without any fuss. And if investing in new minis isn’t in the cards, depotting your existing products is a thrifty yet effective solution—watch out for depotting tutorials online, which can help you customize your own essentials bag. If like me, your toddler is your biggest makeup sabotage, this approach lets you keep glam on lock, make fast transitions from playtime to beauty time, and still feel fabulous every day.
