Self worth - Who is looking back ? 🪞 Ego Death?

Vulnerability

🖤 My Story: One day I found someone and it was love at first sight & ever since I’ve been trying and trying to gain their attention and love back but recently after about 3.5 years I just had a realization….. If I loved myself I wouldn’t be looking for someone else to love me, I’d be able to walk away and find someone who wants to be loved and give love. I realized this situationship was changing me and if I didn’t want the change to be negative I should take matters into my own hands and ACTIVELY make the lesson a positive one.

💔 How I Felt: I was feeling drained and neglected, unappreciated & invisible- not good enough- ugly … less than - I knew I gave my power away - defeated & depressed - I KNEW I didn’t love myself & that holding on was making me resent someone I once loved ….

🤍 My Takeaways: If you don’t love you, why should anyone else … Truth be told I’m sure it was childhood trauma that I healed when faced with this rejection… but it turned out to be a blessing because NOW …. I have suitors who want what I want and the door of possibilities is wide open. I can once again look in the mirror and recognize self and actually feel beautiful ! #OPEN

P.s to this day I don’t hate that man, I actually still love him but in my place though - I acknowledge where we are and I’ve accepted that we will never be. I’m able to genuinely love him and wish him the best as real love does - because even without me he deserves happiness & by letting him go I found me again & I make it a point to love tf outta Sabrina ❤️‍🔥

... Read moreSelf-worth is fundamental in shaping our relationships and how we view ourselves. In a world that often emphasizes external validation, many people find themselves grappling with feelings of inadequacy and dependence on others for their self-esteem. Understanding your self-worth means recognizing the value you bring to yourself and others. This realization often stems from introspection and confronting past traumas that may hinder personal growth. Embrace vulnerability by sharing your experiences and feelings with others, which can strengthen connections and foster a supportive community. When you start to love yourself, it becomes easier to attract healthy relationships and maintain emotional balance. Engaging in self-care practices, such as positive affirmations, mindfulness, and therapy, can significantly enhance your perception of self-worth. Remember, your reflection in the mirror is not just about physical appearance—it embodies your experiences, resilience, and growth over time. By acknowledging and nurturing your true self, you pave the way for fulfilling relationships that amplify your worth rather than diminish it. Ultimately, embracing your self-worth allows you to let go of toxic connections and forge healthier paths, enhancing both personal fulfillment and mutual love.
