Cardio Helped Me Lose Weight… Strength Training….
🎀 Cardio will help you lose weight… but strength training helps shape the body you want.
I used to think more cardio was the answer, but adding strength training, protein, and consistency changed everything for me. 💕
Walking helped me lose weight, but lifting is helping me build confidence, curves, and a stronger mindset.
Progress isn’t just about the number on the scale anymore. ✨

In my personal journey, I found that relying solely on cardio for weight loss wasn't enough to achieve the body I desired. While cardio activities like walking 15,000 to 20,000 steps daily can effectively burn calories and drop weight quickly, they don’t necessarily improve muscle tone or body shape. That’s where strength training made a significant difference for me. Incorporating lifting sessions about 4-5 times per week, combined with a high-protein diet, helped me preserve muscle while losing fat. This approach not only sculpted a tighter, more defined body but also increased my metabolism, which can often slow down with cardio-only routines. The muscle retention aspect is crucial because it gives you the 'snatched' look—a smaller waistline, perkier glutes, and overall body confidence. I noticed that without strength training, even if the scale dropped, my body still looked softer and less toned—the so-called 'skinny fat' effect. Weight loss became more sustainable and visually rewarding once I started focusing on lifting and fueling my body with adequate protein. Moreover, strength training boosted my mental strength and confidence, creating a stronger mindset that carried me through the journey. Finally, progress is about more than just numbers on the scale; it’s about how you feel, look, and embrace a healthier lifestyle consistently. Balancing cardio and strength training, supported by faith and consistency, can truly transform both your physical and mental well-being.
