How I stay in shape as a teen!

... Read moreAs a teen trying to stay in shape, I've realized that the key isn't about drastic diet changes or pushing yourself to the limit every day. Instead, it's about listening to your body and maintaining consistency without overworking yourself. For example, I run five days a week, mostly on school days, and take Saturdays for an extra run, but I never force myself when I feel tired or need rest. This approach helps prevent burnout and keeps workouts enjoyable. I also don’t stress about changing my diet completely. I focus on eating healthily most of the time, like yogurt, salads, and chicken wraps, but I also allow myself to enjoy regular foods like pizza. This balance keeps me motivated and removes unnecessary pressure. Remember, you don’t have to change who you are for others — just keep your habits simple and consistent. Another important habit I've adopted is stretching regularly. Stretching not only warms up my muscles but also improves flexibility and helps prevent injuries. It’s a small change that makes a big difference in my performance and wellbeing. Mindset is everything — appreciating your body as it is and focusing on your personal journey makes the process more positive. Setting small, realistic goals over time is more effective than expecting quick results. So, be patient, love yourself, and remember that staying in shape is about health and happiness, not perfection.
