Living with a deep sensitivity to emotions often means navigating the world in ways others might not fully understand. I identify as a deep feeler, someone who experiences feelings intensely and often finds my mind wandering mentally elsewhere. This tendency to reflect internally has taught me the immense value of solitude—not just as a refuge, but as a vital space for healing and self-care. Music, particularly great music with meaningful lyrics, becomes a companion during these quiet moments, helping me romanticize life despite its hardships. I often find solace in late-night drives when the world feels hushed, allowing me to process my thoughts and emotions more clearly. Being hard to impress isn't about being dismissive but about seeking authenticity and meaning above superficial connections. Healing every Sunday is my ritual, a time deliberately set aside to check in with my mental and emotional state. In this process, I protect my peace fiercely, choosing peace over drama, and maintaining boundaries that might otherwise be overlooked. This approach has helped me cope as a demisexual person, cherishing deep emotional bonds rather than fleeting encounters. Interestingly, horror films provide a curious contrast to my gentle demeanor; they fuel a fascination with complex emotions and adrenaline, showing that even quiet souls can appreciate intensity in safe doses. Despite often disappearing into my own world, this lifestyle enables me to grow and nurture myself, proving that solitude is not loneliness but a path to becoming whole.
