Izumisano's annual event "Rokusha Mairi" is a way to enjoy New Year's Day by visiting six shrines in Izumisano City and praying for good luck at the beginning of the year. You can start from any shrine, receive a special votive tablet (¥800) at the first shrine, and collect worship stamps while visiting six shrines.
You can walk or cycle. The total pilgrimage distance connecting the six shrines is about 20 km,
It is attractive that you can enjoy "Hatsumode + exercise + town walk" at once.
And when you visit all six shrines, you will return to the "first shrine" at the end.
Then, as a commemoration, "good luck zodiac papier-mâché" is awarded, which is unique to the six shrines of Izumisano. If you decorate your house with the completed ema, you will feel better as a lucky charm of the year.
