ช่วงหนึ่งในชีวิตที่ผมได้นำหลักธรรมนี้ไปใช้จริง ต้องบอกว่าการปล่อยวางและไม่จองเวรนั้นช่วยเปลี่ยนแปลงจิตใจได้ลึกซึ้งมาก ผมเคยเจอสถานการณ์ที่ถูกทำร้ายทางจิตใจซ้ำๆ จากคนรอบข้าง แต่ด้วยการเลือกที่จะไม่ตอบโต้และไม่พยาบาท กลับทำให้ความรู้สึกทุกข์ทรมานค่อยๆ ลดน้อยลงอย่างเห็นได้ชัด ในแต่ละวันผมพยายามฝึกใจให้อดทน รับฟังและเข้าใจถึงเหตุผลของสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น ว่าทุกสิ่งคือเจ้ากรรมนายเวรที่เราต้องชดใช้และปล่อยวางไป การแผ่เมตตาให้กับทั้งตัวเองและผู้อื่นที่เคยทำร้าย ทำให้ปัญหาหรืออุปสรรคในชีวิตเบาบางลงไปมาก ยังมีข้อดีที่น่าแปลกใจคือ หมดจากความผูกโกรธภายในใจแล้ว ผมรู้สึกว่าสุขภาพจิตดีขึ้น มีสมาธิและความสงบมากขึ้น การงานและความสัมพันธ์ก็ค่อยๆ ดีขึ้นตามลำดับ ความรักก็เต็มไปด้วยความเข้าใจและความสุขสมบูรณ์ ถ้าใครกำลังเผชิญกับเจ้ากรรมนายเวรในชีวิต ผมขอแนะนำให้ลองอดทนและแผ่เมตตาอย่างจริงจัง เพราะสิ่งเหล่านี้จะช่วยลดความรุนแรงของเวรกรรม ในชาตินี้และชาติหน้า และยังเป็นการบ่มเพาะจิตใจให้เข้มแข็งและพร้อมรับกับความสุขที่แท้จริงในชีวิตอีกด้วย ความดีที่เราทำ แม้ไม่ต้องมีใครเห็น ก็เป็นแรงผลักดันให้ใจเราสงบและเปิดรับแสงสว่างของชีวิตได้เสมอ นี่คือบทเรียนที่ผมอยากแบ่งปันจากประสบการณ์ตรง ซึ่งธรรมะสอนให้เราเชื่อมั่นในพลังของเมตตาและปัญญาอย่างแท้จริง
