ถ้าใครกำลังหาข้อมูลว่า “สีไม้ยี่ห้อไหนดี” เราแนะนำให้ดูจาก “วิธีใช้งานจริง” มากกว่าดูแค่จำนวนสีในกล่องค่ะ เพราะสีไม้บางแบรนด์มีหลายสีแต่ระบายไม่ลื่น สีไม่แน่น หรือไล่เฉดยาก สุดท้ายวาดแล้วไม่สนุก จากที่ลอง I-paint รุ่นใหม่ (มีทั้ง 12 สี และ 24 สี) สิ่งที่ช่วยตัดสินใจได้ไวคือการเทสต์ 3 อย่างนี้เลย: ชาร์ตสีหลังกล่อง, การไล่เฉด (Gradient) และการผสมสีแบบเลเยอร์ (Layering) เพราะมันบอกได้ทันทีว่าสี “ตรงปกไหม”, “เกลี่ยเนียนไหม” และ “ทับกันแล้วหมองหรือไม่” ซึ่งในภาพเทสต์จะเห็นว่าชาร์ตหลังกล่องทำมาค่อนข้างตรง ทำให้วางแผนโทนสีได้ง่าย โดยเฉพาะเวลาจะระบายของกินอย่างคัพเค้ก ซอสช็อกโกแลต หรือวาดวัตถุผิวมันอย่างพริกหยวกที่ต้องคุมแสงเงา อีกจุดที่เราใช้เป็นเกณฑ์เวลาเลือกสีไม้ยี่ห้อไหนดีคือ “ขนาดไส้และความแข็งแรง” รุ่นนี้ไส้ใหญ่ประมาณ 3.3 mm แถมเป็นทรงหกเหลี่ยม จับถนัดและกดน้ำหนักมือได้โดยไม่หักง่าย เหมาะกับคนที่ชอบเก็บรายละเอียดเล็กๆ เช่น ขอบเชอร์รี่บนคัพเค้ก หรือไฮไลต์บนเป็ดยางสีเหลือง ที่ต้องค่อยๆ ซ้อนเลเยอร์ให้เนียน สำหรับมือใหม่หรือคนซื้อให้เด็กๆ เรื่องความปลอดภัยก็สำคัญ ควรเลือกแบบ Non-Toxic และมีที่มาชัดเจน (รุ่นนี้ทำไว้ดี) และเราชอบดีเทล “มีช่องเขียนชื่อบนกล่อง” มาก เพราะพกไปเรียน/ไปเวิร์กช็อปแล้วไม่สลับกับเพื่อน ทริคเล็กๆ ให้สีไม้ดูพรีเมียมขึ้น (ใช้กับ I-paint ได้ดี): 1) เริ่มจากลงสีอ่อนก่อน แล้วค่อยเพิ่มน้ำหนักเข้มทีละชั้น จะได้มิติแบบนุ่มๆ 2) ใช้โทนใกล้กันทับบางๆ เพื่อผสมสีใหม่ แทนการกดหนักทีเดียว สีจะไม่เป็นก้อน 3) ถ้าต้องการผิวเนียนมาก ให้ใช้กระดาษผิวเรียบขึ้นเล็กน้อย และเหลาดินสอให้ปลายคม (โชคดีที่ในกล่องมีกบเหลาแถมมา) สรุปในมุม “สีไม้ยี่ห้อไหนดี” ถ้าคุณอยากได้สีไม้ราคาจับต้องได้ แต่ให้ฟีลลื่น สีสด ระบายง่าย ไล่เฉดและผสมสีได้สนุก พร้อมอุปกรณ์ครบในกล่อง I-paint รุ่นใหม่เป็นตัวเลือกที่คุ้มและเหมาะกับทั้งวาดภาพจริงจังและใช้ฝึกพื้นฐานค่ะ
