Disney Wish
I just got off of a 3 night sailing on the Disney wish! It was my first time on this ship but I’ve sailed with Disney on all four of the other ships multiple times! The ship itself was beautiful, the food was amazing and the entertainment offerings were fantastic, though the layout of the ship was a bit confusing compared to the other ships in the fleet. When I say the food on the Disney Wish was amazing, I truly mean it! Beyond the main rotational dining rooms like Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure and Worlds of Marvel, which offered incredible immersive experiences, even the quick-service options like Marceline Market and Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods were a step above. I particularly loved the variety and quality, from gourmet burgers to fresh seafood. Don't miss the rotational dining – it’s a highlight, allowing you to experience different themes each night! And for adults looking for a splurge, Palo Steakhouse or Enchante are absolute must-tries for a special evening; I heard rave reviews about them, even though I didn't get to experience them on my short trip. The attention to detail in every meal was truly 'Disney 1 Wish' level quality. The entertainment also blew me away. Of course, the AquaMouse, the first-ever Disney attraction at sea, was a huge thrill! But the Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, like 'Disney The Little Mermaid' and 'Disney Seas the Day', were truly spectacular with stunning visual effects, incredible music, and talented performers. Even simple things like character appearances, deck parties, and movie screenings on Funnel Vision felt extra magical on the Wish. There's always something happening for all ages, whether you're looking for live music, trivia, or a quiet spot to relax. Now, about that 'confusing layout' – it's not bad, just different from the other Disney ships I'm used to. The Wish feels more spread out, with some public areas tucked away, which can be a bit disorienting at first. My best advice for first-timers is to spend your first day simply exploring! Grab a physical map or use the Navigator app, wander around, and get your bearings. You'll quickly discover hidden gems and find your favorite spots. I found Deck 5 to be a great central hub, and the Grand Hall is undeniably breathtaking and a perfect meeting point. Don't be afraid to ask crew members for directions either; they are always happy to help. To make the most of your Disney Wish cruise, especially on a shorter 3-night itinerary like mine, planning is key. Make sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you board – it's absolutely essential for checking schedules, making dining reservations, booking activities, and communicating with your travel party. For families, look into booking nursery times or registering your kids for the Oceaneer Club and Lab early; these spaces are incredible. And for adults, don't overlook the adult-exclusive areas like The Quiet Cove pool, The Rose lounge, and Hyperspace Lounge; they offer a wonderful escape. Pack comfortable shoes because there's a lot of walking involved, and definitely bring a refillable water bottle!
