$300 Tarot Deck Review!

Earlier this year, I decided to go all in on a nice tarot deck. I've been reading tarot for 3 years now, and have decided I'd like to have a deck that will last my lifetime, and be able to be passed down. I saved up for months to be able to get the perfect deck.

I'd wanted an Uusi deck for a while, and they had just recently come out with the 'Pagan Otherworlds' tarot deck in its 7th edition. I ended up getting it, and have had it for a few months now!

Here is my honest review:

PACKAGING:

•The packaging is beautiful and sturdy! It comes in an Uusi bag and a sealed box with the deck number you received. There are only 50 of these decks being made, once they sell out they won't make anymore of this edition! I got number 24 out of 50. (They aren't sold out yet!!)

•The box for the deck has a tarot card on the outside sleeve, which I think is a beautiful touch. Mine has the Ace of Coins card.

CARD QUALITY:

•The card quality is amazing! Very large, thick cards. Sturdy and have a great texture to them.

•The card backing is simple, but beautiful. I love the color choice!

•The edges are hand-guilded with 24KT gold leaf gilding, which is absolutely beautiful. Photos do not do it justice at all!

ART:

•In this deck, the art is based on Celtic mysticism in a renaissance painting style. This is one of the reasons I chose this deck, for the Celtic imagery!

•All of the art is absolutely gorgeous, you can tell a lot of soul went into these pieces. Every little detail is perfectly placed, and I adore it. There are cards full of beauty, cards full of passion, cards full of sorrow, etc. The art truly captures the meanings behind tarot.

SPECIAL CARDS:

•There are special cards in this deck! They add in 5 moon phase cards, and a card called "The Seeker." I really like these additions.

•The moon phase cards have a beautiful silver holographic glitter that gives them a wonderful sheen.

BOOKLET:

•I usually toss out booklets that come with decks, as I don't use them anymore, but I kept this one just because of how gorgeous it is! It's very large, like a coffee table style book.

•The book gives in depth descriptions for the cards, as well as key words, to help people learn the deck. Which is very nice!

OVERALL REVIEW: (5 Stars)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

•Overall, 'Pagan Otherworlds' is truly the most gorgeous deck I've ever seen or owned. I love the handcrafted touches, and all the detail that goes into the art. It truly is a beautiful piece that I will cherish for years to come!

... Read moreFinding the perfect tarot deck feels like a profound journey, doesn't it? When I decided to invest in a high-quality, lasting deck, I spent ages researching. While many beginners start with the classic Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) tarot deck, which is fantastic for learning, I was looking for something that truly resonated with my aesthetic and spiritual path. That's where the Uusi Pagan Otherworlds Tarot deck came into my life. For anyone searching for the 'prettiest tarot decks' or the 'most beautiful tarot decks,' the Pagan Otherworlds is definitely a contender. But beyond its stunning looks, what makes a deck truly 'best'? For me, it's a combination of artistic depth, material quality, and how well it speaks to my intuition. While you might find many 'tarot deck' options out there, few offer the artisanal craftsmanship of Uusi. I often get asked where to find unique decks like this. While some premium decks occasionally pop up on platforms like Amazon, for limited editions like the Uusi, checking the official artist's website or specialized spiritual shops is usually the best bet. It’s also worth looking for reviews and unboxings to get a real feel for the deck before committing, especially for those pricier investments. One of the 'low click queries' I often see is about the 'pagan otherworlds tarot guidebook' or even a 'pagan otherworlds tarot book pdf'. While the booklet that comes with this deck, titled 'TAROT NOTES FROM THE PAGAN OTHERWORLDS', is exceptional – more like a coffee table book than a flimsy pamphlet – having additional resources can always deepen your understanding. This large, beautiful book provides in-depth descriptions, unlike many standard decks where you might need to buy an accompanying book separately. The art style, inspired by Celtic mysticism and renaissance paintings, truly makes each card, from 'Death' to 'The Magician' and 'The Chariot', a piece of art. The intricate details, like the gold-leafed edges and the unique 'moon phase cards' and 'The Seeker' card, elevate the experience beyond just divination. When considering 'best oracle cards for intuition' or even a specific tarot deck, it’s crucial to feel a connection. The tactile experience of shuffling thick, sturdy cards, the visual journey through the renaissance-style art, and the symbolic depth are all part of it. It’s not just about getting readings; it’s about having a tool that inspires reflection and personal growth. Whether you're drawn to the classic imagery of a Marseille tarot deck or the rich symbolism of the RWS, the most important thing is that your chosen deck feels like an extension of your own intuition. For me, the Pagan Otherworlds, with its distinctive art and superior quality, has become that lifetime companion, a true treasure among my spiritual tools.
