Weight loss journey w/Zepbound

That first moment, stepping onto the scale, seeing the number, often with your own feet visible, can be both daunting and incredibly motivating. For me, seeing my feet on the Etekcity digital scale at 191.6 lbs was a powerful visual, a concrete starting point. It's not just about the number; it's about acknowledging where you are, right now, and committing to the path ahead. Choosing the right scale is actually a small but important detail. A good digital scale, like the one I used, provides consistent readings and removes any guesswork. I’ve learned that weighing myself at the same time each day (first thing in the morning, after using the restroom, before eating or drinking) helps get the most accurate picture. Don't be discouraged by daily fluctuations—our bodies are complex! Water retention, hormonal changes (hello, estrogen dominance!), and even recent meals can impact the number. It's the long-term trend that truly matters. Beyond the scale, I'm realizing how crucial it is to track progress in other ways. Taking regular progress photos (maybe even just of your feet, showing less swelling or definition as you progress!), measuring your waist, hips, and thighs, and noticing how your clothes fit can provide a much richer picture of your transformation. Are you feeling more energetic? Is walking easier? These non-scale victories are often more impactful than the number itself. When it comes to Zepbound, understanding its role in the body helps manage expectations. It's a tool to aid weight loss, often by helping with appetite control and satiety. In the first few days and weeks, you might experience some initial weight loss, which can be exciting. However, it's also important to be mindful of how your body is adjusting. Sometimes, conditions like estrogen dominance can lead to fluid retention, which might make the scale seem stubborn. As overall weight decreases with Zepbound's help, many people find that symptoms like swollen feet or general discomfort in their lower extremities can improve. It’s a wonderful feeling when your feet feel lighter and less strained after a long day! This journey isn't just about weight; it's about holistic health, which includes managing conditions like anxiety and depression. The physical changes often bring mental benefits, too. Walking with more ease, feeling less pressure on my joints, and yes, even seeing my feet look a little different as I lose weight, are all small victories contributing to a bigger sense of well-being. So, while the number on the scale is a starting point, remember it's just one piece of a much larger, more incredible puzzle. Keep documenting, keep moving forward, and celebrate every step along the way.

Did your primary physician prescribe Zepbound or did you go through one of those weight loss places online? And did your insurance cover it? I'm prescribed it but it is over $1000 a month for it. My insurance, which is a Medicare Advantage plan, will not cover weight loss medications. I don't know where to turn.
