Are you a Christmas lover or not so much?
Christmas has always been my favorite time of year! Putting up the tree. Eating favorite yearly snacks. Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes, Egg nog, Christmas Crack Toffee. Buying gifts or making them, for beloved family and friends. Spreading joy and paying it forward. Going to events around my area. I love it all!
It’s sometimes hard though. Having some of my kids and grandkids living hours away. Remembering loved ones that have passed on. I allow myself to feel those things. But, I work hard to stay present and enjoy the season. I am blessed to still be here to enjoy it.
How do you feel during the holidays? What do you do to enjoy it or get through it? I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions. #lemon8challenge #CozyChats #Christmasismyfavorite
Christmas is a season filled with both joy and reflection, bringing moments that create lasting memories while also reminding us of those we miss. Many of us find comfort in familiar traditions such as decorating the tree, enjoying seasonal snacks like Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes, egg nog, and Christmas Crack Toffee, and the meaningful act of gift-giving, whether by buying or crafting presents for loved ones. These routines provide a sense of stability and warmth that can brighten even the toughest days during the holidays. However, the holiday season can also evoke feelings of longing, especially when family members live far apart or when we remember those who have passed on. It's natural to experience a mix of emotions, and allowing ourselves to feel both happiness and sadness is important for emotional well-being. Staying present in the moment, focusing on the blessings we have, and engaging in local community events can help us embrace the season fully. One way to enhance the holiday spirit is through small acts of kindness and paying it forward, which not only spreads joy to others but also enriches our own experience. Whether volunteering, donating, or simply offering a smile, these gestures contribute to a deeper connection with the community. The phrase captured in the image text, "Christmas Time ATSUM happy moments," reminds us that Christmas is truly about gathering and cherishing happy moments together. Sharing stories, participating in challenges like #lemon8challenge, or joining cozy chats with others who love this festive time (#CozyChats, #Christmasismyfavorite) can foster a sense of belonging and shared celebration. For those who find the season difficult, it helps to create new traditions or adapt old ones, making this time of year more manageable and joyful on a personal level. Whether it’s trying new recipes, creating handmade decorations, or setting aside quiet time for reflection, these efforts can transform feelings of stress or loneliness into appreciation and comfort. Ultimately, Christmas is about connection—whether with family near or far, friends, or the broader community. Embracing both the joyful and challenging aspects allows us to live the season authentically. What are your favorite ways to celebrate or cope with the holidays? Sharing our experiences not only enriches our own celebrations but also supports others who may be navigating similar feelings this time of year.

I feel both honestly. I love the season, but I also let myself feel the heavier parts too.
