Ingredients:

1 lb fresh green beans (trimmed)

4 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)

6 slices of bacon (cut into small pieces)

1 medium onion (sliced)

2 cups chicken broth

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: red pepper flakes for spice

Instructions:

Prepare Ingredients: Trim the green beans, peel and cube the potatoes, and slice the onion.

Cook Bacon: In a large skillet or pot, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.

Sauté Onions and Garlic: Add onions and garlic to the pan and cook in the bacon grease until softened.

Combine Potatoes and Green Beans: Add the potatoes and green beans to the skillet. Stir to coat them in the bacon grease.

Add Broth: Pour in the chicken broth, ensuring the vegetables are covered. Bring to a simmer.

Cook Until Tender: Cover and cook on medium heat for 20–25 minutes, or until the potatoes and green beans are tender.

Season and Serve: Season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir in the cooked bacon pieces. Serve warm.
