My 5 year hair growth journey

... Read moreDuring my hair transformation over the past five years, one key lesson I've learned is the importance of patience and professional guidance when changing hair color and addressing damage. Initially, my hair suffered significant breakage, especially visible around 2022, which felt disheartening and affected my confidence. Styling breakage bangs was particularly challenging, and I often found myself trying to hide thinning areas in photos. To improve hair health and reduce maintenance, I chose to have lowlights professionally applied in 2023. This not only decreased the need for frequent bleaching, which had contributed to my breakage issues, but also gave the hair a much thicker and richer appearance. The expert placement of lowlights created depth and volume, easily becoming my favorite hair look to date. Despite enjoying the darker, thicker hair, I did keep the top slightly lighter for a while, which helped me cope with the change gradually. By 2024, inspired by seeing natural brunette styles like Kelsey's on The Bachelor, I fully embraced my brunette roots. Slowly growing out my roots and stopping at-home bleaching, I avoided adding baby lights, which further reduced hair stress. This gradual transition helped my hair grow stronger over time and reinforced that managing hair health is just as essential as the desired look. Throughout my journey, I've realized that giving hair breaks from harsh chemical treatments and opting for lower maintenance color options can rejuvenate your strands, restore thickness, and improve styling confidence. If you're considering a color switch or struggling with breakage, consulting a skilled professional for techniques like lowlights and root blending can transform your hair journey into a rewarding experience.

I used to be platinum & loved it. I decided to give my hair a break and just started getting highlights. My hairs so long now & healthy! I miss my platinum but it was so worth it. People always say it looks like a surfer girl models hair lol! Yours looks so good ❤️🔥🍋
