'Words of Affirmation' are equally powerful: thanking a teammate for their help during a challenging surgery or acknowledging their expertise can boost morale and build mutual respect. Phrases like "I couldn’t have gotten through my shift without you" create a supportive atmosphere. 'Quality Time' might sound unusual in a surgical setting, but stepping out for a quick lunch or grabbing a coffee together after rounds strengthens bonds beyond the OR walls. Gifts, such as bringing in breakfast or coffee, show appreciation and thoughtfulness in tangible ways, enhancing team spirit. Lastly, 'Physical Touch'—within professional boundaries—like high fives or fist bumps after a successful procedure convey encouragement and celebration of collective effort.
