First time Christmas empty nesters and today was extremely hard on me. For the last 25 years I have been the one running the show for the kiddos Christmas. This morning I woke up with no sound, no gifts flooding the living room, no excitement, just dead silence. My husband and I did do stockings for each other but it just wasn’t the same. Seeing this is a game changer. I’m blessed to have had those precious moments with my family but now it’s time for me and my husband. After being gloomy for most the day I decided to take a little trip to my little clients homes and give them some Christmas blessings. I am a caregiver and my clients have no family so we decided to be that for them this year. We will definitely be doing this for years to come. Presents under the tree will look and give a different kind of love. I am truly one blessed daughter of the Only King!!!
I’m not even Christian and I think this is amazing 😭🙏 I grew up catholic and always wondered why Christmas was so commercialized and about getting gifts when it should be about giving and the actual meaning behind the holiday (aka Jesus being born). I think this will teach your kids a lot of really awesome life lessons and raise them to be humble people :) thank you for sharing this
