A new design begins.
Every 🫨🫨piece starts as a drawing.
Lines become patterns.
Patterns become 🌹🌹structure.
This week’s 🦾🦾design explores balance,
symmetry,
and 🫢movement.
From sketch to metal soon.🌈🌈🌈
Starting a jewelry design always feels like an exciting adventure for me. The transition from a simple sketch to a tangible metal piece is a process deeply rooted in patience and creativity. This week's project, focusing on balance and symmetry, really pushed me to think about how movement can be expressed not just visually but physically in the jewelry’s structure. When incorporating crystals like the green amethyst, size and proportion matter a lot. At 6.5 cm, this crystal isn’t small, so I had to carefully consider how the patterns and lines around it would support its presence without overwhelming it. Drawing patterns that naturally guide the eye while maintaining harmony is a rewarding challenge. In my experience, breaking down the design into stages—starting with rough sketches, refining patterns, and finally structuring the metal framework—helps keep the vision clear. Movements in jewelry design aren’t only about the flow in the lines but also how the piece moves with the wearer, making it feel alive and part of their story. Using the drawing as a foundation allows for more organic design evolution. Each line can inspire the next step, and before you know it, the sketch’s essence is captured in the final piece. For anyone looking to start their own design process, I recommend documenting each step visually and reflecting on how each pattern and detail influences the overall balance. Ultimately, seeing a design move from paper to a metal object that reflects nature and art is incredibly fulfilling. The green crystal amethyst adds a unique touch, blending natural beauty with human craftsmanship in a harmonious balance that symbolizes more than just style—it’s an experience told through design.
