「竹林の小径って入場料いるの？」「ライトアップはどこまで無料？」が気になって行ったので、私が迷ったポイントを補足します。 まず、竹林の小径そのものは基本的に散策路で、普段はふらっと歩けるイメージが強いです。ただ、ライトアップ期間は“全部が同じ扱い”ではなく、エリアによって一部が有料になります。今回の嵐山月灯路も「一部有料エリア」があり、当日1,500円・小学生以下無料、前売は1,300円（条件つき）と案内されていました。現地で「ここから先が有料なんだ！」となりやすいので、行く前に公式のエリア図や入口をチェックしておくと安心です。 時間帯は18:00〜21:00で、最終入場が20:30。私は少し遅めに行ってしまい、写真は撮れたものの“落ち着いて歩く時間”が足りなかったので、できれば19時台までに入るのがおすすめです。竹が風で揺れる音や虫の声がはっきり聞こえて、まさに「待望の、幻想的な夜」という感じでした。時間帯によっては和楽器の演奏が重なることもあり、当たりだとかなり満足度が上がります。 アクセスは、JR嵯峨嵐山駅から徒歩約10分、嵐電嵐山駅から約10分、阪急嵐山駅から約15分が目安。駅から人の流れができるので迷いにくい一方、混雑日は歩くペースがゆっくりになります。履き慣れた靴と、夜は意外と冷えるので羽織ものがあると快適でした。 あと地味に大事なのが周辺の飲食店事情。私が行った日は18時前後で閉まるお店が多く、ライトアップ後に「ごはん難民」になりかけました。嵐山で食事を済ませてから入場するか、京都駅・四条河原町方面に戻ってから食べる計画にしておくと失敗しにくいです。 「嵐山 ライトアップ 2023」など過去情報も検索に出てきますが、開催年・料金・ルートは変わることがあるので、直前に最新の公式情報を確認してから行くのがいちばん確実です。
