Podcasts for black girls✨

For the gym girlies who love to hit that stair master as much as I do and for as long as I do, here are some podcast that I listen to that keeps me entertained and motivated throughout the workout💪🏾✨

• Balanced Black Girl

By far my fav podcast. Les’s voice is so calming to me. She very relatable and talks a lot about wellness, fitness and personal development. She invites a lot of guest speakers who align with that and even her solo shows are worth listening to!

• Brown Girl Self-Care Podcast

This is another great podcast! It is a little more intimate like Bre’s speaking to you personally. Listen to this if you need words of affirmation to encourage you to push through!

• Keep It Positive, Sweetie

Just started listening to this Podcast but I definitely will continue to listen! The guest speakers on this podcast are definitely interesting. If you believe in faith you’ll love Crystals podcast, very inspirational!

... Read moreFinding the right rhythm and motivation during workouts can sometimes feel like a challenge, especially when you're pushing through a long session on the stair master or hitting a new personal best. That's where the magic of a good podcast comes in! For me, specifically, diving into podcasts created by and for Black women has been a game-changer. They offer not just entertainment but a deeper sense of connection, understanding, and powerful encouragement that truly resonates. I've found that these podcasts do more than just fill the silence; they transform my workout into a holistic wellness experience. When I'm on the Planet Fitness stair master, eyes glued to the display, feeling the burn, hearing a familiar voice discuss self-care or fitness tips makes all the difference. It helps me find my flow, keeping my mind engaged while my body works hard. It's like having a personal cheerleading squad and wisdom-keeper right in my earbuds. Take 'Balanced Black Girl' for instance. It's truly a cornerstone for my wellness journey. Les's calm voice and genuine conversations about health, personal growth, and navigating life as a Black woman provide a sense of balance and perspective that's hard to find elsewhere. It's not just about physical fitness; it's about mental fortitude and emotional well-being. Listening to her or her amazing guest speakers discuss topics from mindful eating to setting boundaries helps me integrate these principles into my daily life, not just my gym time. Then there's the 'Brown Girl Self-Care Podcast with Bre Mitchell.' This one is incredibly intimate and feels like a warm hug for your soul. Bre's personal approach, delivering powerful words of affirmation, is exactly what I need on days when my energy is low, or I'm battling self-doubt. It helps me push through those tough sets and reminds me of my inherent strength and worth. It truly helps cultivate a 'black girl flow' in my routine, where I feel connected and empowered. And for that spiritual boost, 'Keep It Positive, Sweetie' with Crystal is just fantastic. Her faith-based approach to motivation and life's challenges is incredibly inspiring. The guest speakers she brings on are always thought-provoking, offering fresh perspectives that uplift and motivate me to maintain a positive outlook, both inside and outside the gym. It's a reminder that my fitness journey is also a spiritual one. Beyond these specific recommendations, I've learned to appreciate how these podcasts create a community. Hearing other Black women share their experiences, struggles, and triumphs fosters a sense of belonging. It reminds me that I'm not alone in my pursuit of health and happiness. So, whether you're powering through a stair master session, going for a run, or simply need some uplifting words during your day, I highly recommend exploring these incredible voices. They've truly enriched my fitness routine and my overall wellness journey, and I hope they do the same for you!

I’ve been listening to Les for almost 3 years now. If you look up Balanced Black Girl, it’ll pop up in the search, but the name of the podcast is now She’s So Lucky. I like to listen to the new episodes but in the gym I listen to the old episodes too. All of them are great!
