Izumo Taisha
Izumo Taisha Shrine, located in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, is an ancient shrine that represents Japan and is widely known as the god of marriage. The main deity is Okuninushi no Okami (commonly known as Daikoku-sama), and there are several shrines including the main shrine of the national treasure in the vast precincts.

Attractions and History
Gohonden: The current building was built in 1744 and is built in the oldest architectural style in Japan called "Taisha-zukuri." It is designated as a national treasure, and general worshipers worship from the Yatsuashimon gate.
Kamiarizuki: The month of October in the lunar calendar is called "Kaminazuki" nationwide, but because the gods of the whole country gather at Izumo Taisha Shrine, it is called "Kamiarizuki" in Izumo, and many worshipers visit.
Shimane Prefectural Museum of Ancient Izumo History: Adjacent to this museum, materials related to the history and mythology of Izumo are displayed.

Inasa-no-hama: It is a little far from Izumo Taisha Shrine, but it is within walking distance and is a wide sandy beach famous as the stage of Japanese mythology. You can also see a beautiful sunset.
Izumo Soba: There are many shops serving Izumo Soba around Izumo Taisha Shrine, and it is popular with tourists.
