Taga Taisha
Taga Taisha Shrine is located in Taga-cho, Inukami-gun, Shiga Prefecture. It is the first Taisha Shrine in Shiga Prefecture, which has long been known as "Otagasan." It is believed to enshrine Izanagi no Okami and Izanami no Okami, which are described in Japan's oldest book "Kojiki," as enshrined deities.

Enshrined deities: Izanagi Okami and Izanami Okami, the couple gods who gave birth to many deities including Japanese land and Amaterasu Okami, are enshrined.
Longevity and matchmaking: Because it is the parent god of life, it has been worshiped as a spirit god of longevity and matchmaking since ancient times.
Auspicious Item: "Rice scoop" derived from a historical event in which Emperor Gensho's illness was cured is known as an auspicious item.
Architecture and Garden: The worship hall with transepts and the beautiful garden and stone bridge are also highlights.
The estimated length of stay is about 30 to 60 minutes, but you can enjoy it even more if you combine it with a stroll on the emotional Omotesando Ema Street.

実際に行ってみて「多賀大社って何が名物なんだろう？」と思った人は、まず表参道（絵馬通り）〜大鳥居前あたりをゆっくり歩くのがおすすめです。大鳥居の前に昔ながらのお土産屋さんが並んでいて、ふらっと立ち寄れる雰囲気がすごく良いです。 名物でいちばん有名なのは、やっぱり「糸切餅」。お店の前に「名物らしい…」って気になる空気が出ていて、つい吸い込まれます。小ぶりで食べやすいので、参拝前後の休憩にちょうどよかったです。持ち帰りにするなら、車移動の人は箱が傾かないようにだけ注意すると安心。 もう一つ“多賀大社らしさ”を感じたのが、しゃもじ関連の縁起物。境内では「しゃもじの絵馬？」と思うようなものも見かけて、写真に収めたくなります。多賀大社は延命長寿や縁結び、厄除けで知られているので、お願いごとがある人は絵馬や授与品もチェックしておくと満足度が上がります。 参拝の所要時間はサクッとなら30分くらいでも回れますが、せっかくなら建築や庭園（拝観）まで含めて60分くらい見ておくとバタつきません。庭園は拝観時間が少し早めに終わるので、到着が午後遅い日は先に庭園→そのあと参拝、みたいに順番を逆にするのもアリ。 アクセス面では、近江鉄道の多賀大社前駅から徒歩約10分で迷いにくかったです。車なら彦根ICから近いので、彦根観光とセットにしやすいのもポイント。駐車場は台数が多いけれど、有料のところもあるので現地で案内板を見て選ぶとスムーズです。 最後に、写真を撮る人は広角があると便利でした（GoProみたいなアクションカメラだと、鳥居や拝殿がダイナミックに入ります）。参拝＋名物の糸切餅までセットで楽しむと、「滋賀 多賀大社」の満足感がぐっと上がると思います。
