My dog won’t stop watching TV! 📺

... Read moreI've always found it amusing how my Goldendoodle is completely absorbed by the TV. Initially, I thought it was just a fluke, but it turns out many dogs share this fascination. Dogs are attracted to moving images, bright colors, and animal sounds, which likely grabs their attention and keeps them engaged. From personal experience, this can be both entertaining and a bit challenging when you want their attention elsewhere. One thing that helps is to occasionally include dog-friendly videos or nature scenes that feature animals. My dog seems particularly interested in videos with birds or other dogs, perhaps because it mimics real-life stimuli. Watching TV together can actually become an interactive bonding time if you use it to stimulate their senses. It's also important to balance this screen time with physical exercise and play. Sometimes, my dog stares at the TV when he's a bit bored or relaxing, but after some active play, his attention shifts back to me. If your dog is glued to the television like mine, you might want to experiment with different shows or sounds to see what captures their interest best. Just remember, while dogs can enjoy TV, they still need plenty of real-world interaction and activities to stay happy and healthy.
