new income stream?! 💫
we recently unlocked a new income stream, which is swing trading! have been silently seeing many of the financial accounts we follow have swing trading as one of their income streams, but did not take any action previously. 🥲
Sept was finally our first full month of swing trading! (we technically took our first trade on 18 aug, but decided it will be hard to track our monthly profits that way, so decided to start calculating from the start of Sept instead and exclude those before 1 sept!)
luckily for us, although not all of our swing trades were wins, our first full month of swing trading still went pretty well!! 😊 quite happy with the amount of profits we made even though we are still beginners at this. we still have a lot to learn and hopefully we can slowly become better at this with more practice! do share if anyone has any tips for beginners to swing trading like us~
also, maybe after we get better at swing trading, we might want to learn options trading in the future to generate another new source of income!
Venturing into swing trading can be an exciting way to diversify your income streams, especially when traditional investing feels slow or limiting. From my experience, starting with swing trading requires patience and continuous learning. One challenge I encountered early on was managing emotions during trades — it’s easy to get anxious when the market moves against you, but sticking to a strategy helps keep decisions rational. Tracking profits meticulously from the beginning of a period, like a calendar month, can provide clearer insight into performance and growth over time. As shared, initiating the count from September helped clarify monthly earnings and eliminate confusion from sporadic trades. Another valuable tip is to engage with a community or follow seasoned traders for guidance and inspiration. Social media forums and finance blogs can offer tips on risk management and identifying trade-worthy opportunities. For example, learning about support and resistance levels in stock charts can sharpen your entry and exit points. While swing trading can be profitable, it’s important to prepare for some losses and remain adaptable. Keep educating yourself about different trading styles; once confident in swing trading, exploring options trading might open doors to additional income channels. However, options trading carries higher complexity and risk, so learning fundamentals thoroughly is essential. In summary, combining disciplined trading, continuous learning, and community engagement can transform swing trading from a tentative experiment into a reliable secondary income source. Patience and practice remain key, so don’t rush the process, and celebrate small gains along the way.
