This spot hasn’t been accessible for years…
This place - specifically the climbing tree and eastern portion of the marsh - has been inaccessible due to the damage to a seasonal bridge for years.
However, in July, it’s finally been permanently repaired and now fully open to the public!

📍Pescadero Marsh (about 20 minutes south of Half Moon Bay). A perfect combo with Pigeon Point Lighthouse!
🅿️ Newr Sand Beach in Cabrillo HWY S parking. Free!
Exploration tips:
1) Take in the views from the parking lot. It’s a great spot to watch for gray whales later this fall when it’s seasonal migration time.
2) Walk down the stairs and across the protected foot path on the HWY 1 bridge (going north). Access sand beach on the left.
3) Play around on the beach with driftwood and check out the keyhole rock arch. It’s especially beautiful at sunset or time it for low tide.
4) Walk under the bridge to access the Pescadero Marsh.
5) Walk along the Sequoia Auburn trail by walking east or go north. Going east = climbing tree and mini tree tunnel; north = walking bridge.
