You won’t believe what I found in Yosemite…
PSA: for followers, I have two free insider guides to Yosemite, like and send me this reel if you’d like:
- One perfect day in Yosemite valley, which also includes gps to the secret cave
- A kid friendly visitor guide to lesser known Yosemite waterfalls
Onto what I put together here: On what was now my eighth visit this year alone, we started at the classic Wawona Tunnel overlook, the view everyone knows.
But instead of stopping there, we climbed up into one of the old vent shafts in the tunnel… and for the first time ever, the gate that’s always been locked was open.
We ended up with a secret view of Half Dome and Bridalveil Falls, standing on sketchy rock ledges with not another person in sight.
No crowds, no selfie sticks, just Yosemite the way it probably felt decades ago.
And this was only the warm-up. From there, we drove out of the valley in search of something you won’t find on any official Yosemite trail map.
Follow for Part 2, as it only gets better from here.
