Here’s my top 2025 performing California trail guides:

- Zim Zim Falls, in Napa County. 6.5 moderate hike that’s booming after recent rains. Muddy trail makes the last bit hard to get back up.

- Rainbow Pools, outside of Groveland. An easy to access waterfall/swim spot, that has a super secret trio of bonus waterfalls nearby (currently inaccessible, but hoping they reopen soon).

- Secret Sidewalk, Fremont. Not currently accessible, IYKYK

- Point Lobos, Carmel. I’ve got a full blog post on my favorite California state park on substack, including how to get to the hidden sea cave

- The Potholes, near Silver lake. Another one with a full blog on my feed, including AllTrails links.
