2025 Travel Destination Recommendations✈️ ✨

✈️ City/Country 1: Nassau 🏖️

✨ Pros: You’ll love it, because it’s very tropical and detached from the city life. Fresh food 🥘 The conch fritters & burger were amazing & the atmosphere is peaceful. It reminds me of a busier Costa Rica.

👀 Cons: Not much to do outside of island life. More of a vacation spot for relaxation.

🗺️ Tips: We went to another resort to pet & feed the flamingos. Don’t be afraid to see what other resorts have to offer even if you’re not staying there. Try the rum cake!

✈️ City/Country 2: Pocono Mountains 🏔️

✨ Pros: The Poconos is a hidden gem for skii & snowboard lovers. They have cabins near the Jack Frost Ski Resort that are affordable.

👀 Cons: Outside of skiing, you’ll have to create your own fun indoors. Get creative!

🗺️ Tips: There are beginner friendly slopes if it’s your first time. You can practice on the baby slopes until you’re comfortable for the bigger one. Ask an instructor on sight how to stop/brake. & again, outside of skiing there’s not much to do so bring card games, hot chocolate, gingerbread houses, movies, hotspot, etc.

Destination List

✈️ City/Country 3: @Cabo San Lucas 🐫

✨ Pros: It was gorgeous in Cabo! I have no complaints. The food was very cheap & delicious. We rode the camels along the beach which were very calm. & we also did a sunset boat across the ocean which was a very good way to meet other travelers.

👀 Cons: It’s extremely hot.

🗺️ Tips: Make sure you bring shades, sunscreen, & comfortable shoes!

... Read moreSo glad you're looking for some fresh travel inspiration for 2025! I've shared my initial thoughts, but let's dive a little deeper into making these trips truly unforgettable. Finding the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure is key, and with a bit more planning, you can unlock even more hidden gems in Nassau, the Pocono Mountains, and Cabo San Lucas. For a truly immersive experience in Nassau, Bahamas, don't just stick to your resort. While the tranquil atmosphere is perfect for unwinding, venturing out can be incredibly rewarding. Beyond just feeding the flamingos (which is a must-do!), consider exploring the local fish fry at Arawak Cay for authentic Bahamian cuisine – think fresh conch salad, fried snapper, and local drinks. Chat with the locals; they often have the best recommendations for untouched beaches or hidden coves. If you're into history, a visit to Fort Fincastle offers panoramic views and a glimpse into the island's past. Remember to pack light, breathable clothing and plenty of reef-safe sunscreen to protect both your skin and the vibrant marine life. If you're heading to the Pocono Mountains for that incredible ski and snowboard experience, preparing for the cold is crucial! Layering is your best friend: thermal base layers, a warm mid-layer, and a waterproof outer shell for hitting the slopes at Jack Frost Ski Resort. Don't forget waterproof gloves, a warm hat, and goggles. For those times you're 'creating your own fun indoors,' I've got some ideas. Beyond card games and movies, consider bringing a portable projector for a cozy movie night on a cabin wall, or plan a themed cooking competition with your travel buddies. Many cabins also have hot tubs, which are heavenly after a day on the slopes. Look for local ice-skating rinks or even snowshoeing trails for a different kind of winter adventure. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture, requires a bit of strategic planning due to the heat. Hydration is paramount, so always carry a reusable water bottle. While riding camels along the beach is an amazing experience, also consider snorkeling or scuba diving to explore the incredible underwater world around Land's End. For food, while resort dining is great, seek out smaller, local eateries for authentic tacos, fresh ceviche, and regional specialties. Transportation can be tricky; using reputable taxi services or ride-sharing apps is advisable, and always agree on a price beforehand if possible. Don't be afraid to practice a few Spanish phrases – a little effort goes a long way with the friendly locals! And for those beautiful sunsets, consider booking a smaller, more intimate sailing tour rather than a large party boat if you're looking for a peaceful experience. By keeping these tips in mind, your 2025 travel recommendations to Nassau, the Poconos, and Cabo San Lucas won't just be destinations, but truly enriching experiences. Happy travels!
