Human Anatomy Atlas 2026 App Review 🫁🫀🩻
🩺 In this post, we will review the app we use very often this year is the Human Anatomy Atlas app. Who is a medical student or studying anatomy is considered not to miss this app!!
🫁 in the app, there are a lot of anatomical systems options. It's a gross anatomy lab that's like principal cross sectional views, or regional views when we want to see specific structures in a particular part of the body.
💪🏻 We use this app most often when studying the musculoskeletal system (muscle) block. It makes it much easier for us to identify and locate muscles (when we first dissect the principal, we may be confused about what each muscle is dissected, so we use this app to prepare before entering the dissection room). When we press on the muscle on the 3D model, there will be details about the muscles such as: point of origin, point of apex / insertion, nerve, blood vessels that feed the muscle, and action. We like that this app has animations that show what each muscle is doing. It helps to understand. A lot more ~
📓 There are also quizzes to practice. Most of them are identifying the structure, which can help in the review before the ring lab.
✏️ In muscle summary, we use the 3D Model because we can isolate each muscle, which allows us to see origin & insertion better, and test ourselves with the gross form later.
