Pics I never posted on my main Instagram
I can be so picky when it comes to what I post on certain social media. So here’s some insight on what I look at!!

Reading through my own reasons for not posting certain pictures – like 'NO NATURAL LIGHTING, IT'S JUST AN EH PICTURE' or 'MY HAIR, MY FACE BLEH' – really got me thinking about the whole 'hot girl' aesthetic and what it truly means. It feels like there's so much pressure to always look perfect, especially on social media. But honestly, who defines what 'hot' is? For me, it’s less about a flawless photo and more about feeling confident and authentic in my own skin, even if my hair isn't cooperating or the lighting isn't ideal. I've learned that sometimes, the magic isn't in the perfect shot, but in the moment itself. Those pictures I held back because they 'JUST DIDN'T FIT THE VIBE' often capture the most genuine smiles or hilarious memories. We spend so much time curating a feed that sometimes we forget to just live and capture life as it happens. It's a constant battle between showing our best selves and showing our real selves, and honestly, the real self is often way more relatable and inspiring. So, if you're like me and struggle with what to post, here are a few things I've realized. First, redefine 'hot' for yourself. Is it about sharp angles and perfect makeup, or is it about confidence, kindness, and genuine joy? For me, it's definitely the latter. Embracing your unique quirks and letting your personality shine through is, in my opinion, what truly makes someone captivating. Second, don't be afraid to embrace your natural self. I used to agonize over 'NO NATURAL LIGHTING' shots, but now I appreciate the moody, real-life feel they can have. Sometimes, those dimly lit selfies tell a richer story than a perfectly lit one, showing a more honest snapshot of your day or mood. Third, consider having a 'secondary' place for those less-than-perfect but still cherished memories – maybe a private album, a close friends story on Instagram, or even just keeping them for yourself to look back on. Not everything needs to be public-facing to be valuable! And fourth, remember that your worth isn't tied to your Instagram grid. Those moments where you might think 'MY HAIR, MY FACE BLEH' are still your moments, and they're beautiful because they're real. Learning to love those imperfections is a huge part of building true confidence. Ultimately, the goal isn't to stop striving for good photos, but to allow ourselves grace when things aren't picture-perfect. It’s all about finding that balance between what you share and what you keep for yourself, and making sure both reflect the real, wonderfully imperfect you. What truly makes someone a 'hot girl' isn't just external beauty, but the inner confidence, self-acceptance, and authenticity that shines through – imperfections and all! Let's encourage each other to share more of our real lives, not just the highlight reels. Because honestly, the 'unfiltered' you is always the most beautiful you.
