Set structure
A split fish hat (neck strap, not tight head) is more comfortable.
Main piece 4 parts
Hat body (fish shape)
Fins / fish tail
Front compartment (face-ear opening)
Neck Strap (Soft Rubber / Gecko Feet)

A Around the neck (through the forehead-behind ear)
B Head length (forehead → back of head)
C Front width (left ear → right ear)
D Under chin distance (for line)
In case of loose + 1 cm if the cat is fluffy

1️⃣ Fish Hat Body (Main Piece)
Oval Shape / Water Drop
Length = B + 2
Width = C + 2
Drill the front channel into an ellipse.
C － 2 width

Cutting: 2 pcs Outer Fabric + 2 pcs Lining
2️⃣ Rear fin / fish tail
Rear Fin: 3-4 Wide | 4-5 Long
Fish Tail: Fan Shape, 5-6 Wide | 5-6 Long
Cutting: 2 pieces each (spliced back cloth)
3️⃣ Ear canal (if necessary)
Top 2 slit marks
Distance from the front edge to 2-3.
(Do only cats with big ears)
4️⃣ Neck strap
2-3 wide
Length = D + 4
Closed with gecko feet / soft rubber
🧵 Sewing sequence (step by step)
Sew fin and tail → back cloth → rolled
Place the fin / tail on the outer fabric (middle-end position).
Splice the fabric outside-lining, sew around, leave the cavity back.
Back the cloth. Keep by the front channel.
Make an ear cut (if there is), keep the rim
Sewing the neck strap below the hat.

Do not be heavy (fins must be light)
The front compartment must be wide enough → The cat is not stressed.
The neck strings must be stretchable.

การเย็บหมวกปลาให้น้องแมวเป็นงานฝีมือที่ทั้งสนุกและสร้างความผูกพันระหว่างเจ้าของกับแมวได้อย่างดี ที่สำคัญคือการทำหมวกให้น้องแมวใส่สบาย ไม่อึดอัด เพื่อให้เจ้าตัวเล็กไม่เครียดและยอมใส่หมวกได้นานๆ จากที่ลองเย็บหมวกตามแพทเทิร์นทรงปลา โดยใช้ผ้าคอตตอนนุ่มสำหรับซับในและผ้าสักหลาดสำหรับผ้านอก พบว่าครีบและหางปลาขนาดกว้าง 3-6 ซม. และยาว 4-6 ซม. นั้นเหมาะสม เพราะไม่ทำให้หมวกหนักจนเกินไป และยังสร้างลุคเก๋น่ารักเหมือนปลาเล็กๆได้ดี การวัดขนาดรอบคอ ความกว้างหน้า รวมถึงความยาวหัวอย่างแม่นยำ สำคัญมาก ช่วยให้หมวกพอดีตัว ไม่หลวมเกินไปจนหลุดง่าย และไม่รัดเกินไปจนเจ้าเหมียวรู้สึกไม่สบาย การเผื่อหลวมเพิ่มอีก 1 ซม. โดยเฉพาะแมวขนฟู ช่วยป้องกันความอึดอัดได้ดี จุดที่ต้องระวังคือช่องหน้าต้องกว้างพอให้แมวเห็นและหายใจสะดวก โดยเฉพาะต้องเปิดด้านหูเพื่อไม่รัดหูแมว หากเป็นแมวหูตั้งควรเจาะช่องหูและตัดริมให้เรียบร้อย สายรัดคอควรเป็นยางนุ่ม หรือมีตีนตุ๊กแกช่วยปรับขนาด เพื่อความยืดหยุ่นและง่ายต่อการสวมใส่ ไม่ควรใช้กระดุมหรือโลหะซึ่งอาจทำให้น้องแมวไม่สบายหรือเกิดอันตรายได้ การเย็บทำตามลำดับ ขั้นตอนเย็บครีบและหางปลา ประกบผ้านอกกับซับใน เย็บรอบ และกลับผ้าให้เรียบร้อย ช่วยให้หมวกมีฟอร์มสวยและทนทาน จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว การเลือกสีผ้าสดใสเช่นฟ้า ส้ม หรือเทาแบบลายเกล็ดปลา ยิ่งทำให้หมวกดูน่ารักขึ้น อีกทั้งยังช่วยให้ตัวแมวโดดเด่นเวลาใส่หมวกออกไปเดินเล่นหรือตอนถ่ายรูปเก็บความทรงจำ สำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการลองเย็บหมวกปลาดูแลน้องแมว แนะนำให้ทดลองตัดผ้าชิ้นเล็กๆก่อนเย็บจริงเพื่อปรับขนาดและรูปทรงให้เหมาะกับแมวแต่ละตัว การเย็บหมวกเองไม่เพียงแต่ประหยัดค่าใช้จ่าย แต่ยังมอบสิ่งที่ทำด้วยใจให้กับน้องแมวซึ่งเป็นความสุขของคนรักสัตว์เลี้ยงอย่างแท้จริง
