Mommy and baby
Nothing in this world could ever disturb the bond we share. I prayed many nights for a baby girl, my mini me, my little best friend and God answered in the most beautiful way. You, my darling, are truly the very best.

You know that feeling? The one where your heart just swells watching your little one sleep? While my original post was all about the unbreakable bond I share with my baby girl, my mini-me, I wanted to dive a little deeper into those everyday moments that truly cement our connection. And let's be honest, one of the biggest (and sometimes trickiest!) parts of our day is 'settling down for nap time'. Every mom knows the struggle and the sweet reward! I've learned a few things on our journey that have really helped create a peaceful nap routine. First off, consistency is key. Our day often starts with a lovely walk, just like the one in that beautiful picture – my daughter in her little white dress, with me in my orange dress, strolling along a paved path under the lush green foliage and bright yellow flowers. That fresh air and gentle movement often signal to her that it’s time to wind down. It makes both of us so happy on a sunny day! Once we're home, we have our little ritual. A calm environment is crucial. I dim the lights, put on some soft, soothing music, and we read a short story. Sometimes, it’s just cuddling quietly in her nursery. I’ve found that avoiding overstimulation about an hour before nap time makes a huge difference. No loud toys or energetic games – just gentle play and quiet connection with my young daughter. Another tip I swear by is a warm bath. Not every nap, of course, but on those days when she seems a bit restless, a quick, warm soak in the tub works wonders. It’s incredibly calming and helps her body relax. Sometimes, I even give her a gentle baby massage with a lavender-scented lotion – it’s a lovely bonding experience for us, and it signals to her body that it’s time to rest. And then there's the 'dream feed' or just a quiet cuddle with a bottle/breast before I gently place her in her crib. I used to worry so much about her waking up, but I've learned to trust the process and her cues. Sometimes she'll fuss a little, but I give her a few minutes to settle herself. It’s all about creating that secure, loving space where she feels safe enough to drift off. It's not always perfect, believe me! There are days when nap time feels like a battle. But even on those days, I remind myself of the incredible bond we share. These little moments of settling down for nap time, whether they're easy or a bit challenging, are all part of our journey. They’re precious, quiet times for her to grow and for me to recharge, ready for more mommy-daughter adventures. What are your go-to nap time tricks? I'd love to hear them!

Amen. Glory to God!!!
